A promise is a promise. Today is day ONE of the juice feast. I will post my progress once per day at the end of the day. Remember, this is not a juice fast. I will be drinking at least 36 oz. of juice each day but not be consuming solely juice for the next 30 days. Lotsa folks do juice fasts & achieve amazing results. More power to ’em. I’m not that chick. This is not a “I wanna get NAKID FINE (Shout out to Jerome & the NAKIDFINE crew!) in 30 days just so I can binge when it’s over & gain double the weight back,” kind of plan. Because for me, that’s what any sort of liquid fast would do…have me hugging the tile in the corner of my kitchen, eating cake at 11:59pm on day 30. This is a “cut the shit out my diet so I can be in a better mood, have clearer skin, stronger nails, healthier hair, think more clearly, stay more focused, have more energy & run more efficiently,” kind of plan. And you don’t have to do it for 30 days. I started doing 7 days. It doesn’t need to be a planned out production every time. After my first 30 day juice feast, I incorporated one day of juice feasting per week into my routine. I would juice throughout the day, have a salad for lunch & grilled veggies with fish for dinner. It’s just a way to give your body a break, help the cleansing process & recalibrate. Remember–whole foods: fresh produce, lean meats & good fats….& lots of green juice!
